Legal & General Modular Homes was set up to disrupt the housing market by designing and delivering well-built homes using modern methods of construction. Acting as Developer or Main Contractor we want to partner with Councils, Housing Associations and major landowners, as well as our own L&G housing businesses, to address the chronic housing shortage in the UK.
Our teams are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of people and communities throughout the UK. We want to make high quality housing available to more people by providing open-market homes and homes for shared-ownership, as well as social rent, affordable rent & private rent.
We start by getting to know your vision for the communities you want to create. Then we work with you to design and build great places to live that make the most of the site and its surroundings. We have full in-house capability and expertise to deliver your project from design concept through to after-care, including land acquisition, planning, production, infrastructure, installation and sales.
Our homes are consistently high quality, energy efficient and can be plotted to create a variety of neighbourhoods. Our digitally enabled design and manufacturing process means we are ready to deliver at pace and scale as the need for housing continues to grow.
To underline our commitment to sustainability our homes are being designed to achieve EPC A rating, which is currently achieved by circa 1% of new homes, and our manufacturing approach aims to significantly reduce the amount of waste from production and construction activities.
Based in our 550,000 sq ft factory in Sherburn-in-Elmet, we have spent the last three years developing, testing and accrediting our initial product range. We delivered our first homes in 2019, and at full production our factory can deliver 3,500 homes per year.
