YTKO

YTKO has worked for over 40 years to support the creation and growth of businesses, increasing revenues and ultimately contributing to economic prosperity. YTKO brings combined private and public sector experience in supporting new entrepreneurs, established businesses and corporates. Through funded or sponsored programmes, YTKO provides a range of services spanning project management, start-up, scale-up, finance and female entrepreneurship. Since 2006, YTKO has supported over 20,000 businesses and raised over £70m in finance for our clients.

As the leading partner of the Enabling housing for inclusive Project, YTKO is working with Bristol Housing Festival, Bristol City Council and 9 modular housing providers to examine how using Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) can provide a solution to the current housing crisis by providing reduced production costs and increased speed of delivery.

The project will run across nine developments in the city. As part of this project, YTKO have developed ‘Constructing Modern Methods’ (CMM), a digital tool for local authorities that will allow users to optioneer against a database of modular housing developers; to understand which modular construction systems, organisations and performance options will best suit to the need of a site and local authority strategy.

Phil Stott, Head of Construction and Sustainability at YTKO says

Having the opportunity to lead such an exciting and innovative partnership is very exciting for YTKO. We’ve been delivering construction projects in Bristol for years and working with the council to unlock MMC innovation is an important step to overcoming the UK housing crisis. Jobs for local people, lower energy costs, quicker builds and more affordable housing are all possible thanks to this funding from Innovate UK.”
