THE LAUNCH EVENT

2018

The Bristol Housing Festival launched in October 2018 with a public exhibition on Waterfront Square in the centre of Bristol. Over 17 days, we welcomed 6,124 visitors to the site, hosted more than 650 people at our events and showcased 32 exhibitors. We are grateful for our team who gave more than 6000 volunteer hours and the 20 supporters, sponsors and partners who made the event possible, particularly Bristol and Bath Regional Capital, The Shaftesbury Partnership, EDP studios, Business West and Burges Salmon.

Since then, we have partnered with Bristol City Council and others to launch a number of projects in Bristol.

ENABLING HOUSING INNOVATION

2019

In 2019 we hosted our second exhibition, which highlighted our projects across the city and continued the conversation on how innovation in housing can serve Bristol residents. The event included a series of public talks, a business-to-business event and a display to engage the Bristol public with the story so far. We were thrilled to welcome 2000 visitors to our shopfront and events.

2020

In 2020 we hosted a three-week Virtual Expo, an industry-leading series of virtual events that brought together experts in the housing and construction industry, local government, champions of sustainable communities and residents to discuss housing and communities in the UK. We hosted 16 webinars, released 16 interviews, and heard from more than 80 speakers. Along with the 632 webinar attendees, nearly 3000 people watched the content on Youtube, and a similar number engaged on social media platforms.

2021

The 2021 expo was our forth expo; two weeks of industry-leading events and discussions, some virtual and some in person. It included a celebration of the end of the Innovate UK project ‘Enabling Innovation for Inclusive Growth,’ including the launch of Constructing Modern Methods (CMM).
