Hope Rise Community Builder Role
are you up for the challenge?
YMCA Bristol are looking for one more Community Builder to live in and be the driving force - as part of a team of four - in a cutting edge new housing development fifteen minutes walk from Bristol City Centre.
Made up of eleven eco ZEDpod homes built above the car park next to St George’s park on Chalks Road in Bristol, it represents an innovative, community based approach to providing affordable and excellent quality homes for young people.
As a Community Builder you will commit to living at Hope Rise for around two years, alongside nine young people who are just starting out. You will act as a catalyst in bringing together all of the residents – and encouraging them to get involved in wider community life in St George. You will enable the young people who live at Hope Rise to belong, contribute and thrive.
Nine of the houses will be one bedroom homes for young people who are making a start in life. The other two will be two bed homes for Community Builders.
Hope Rise is a partnership of Bristol City Council, YMCA Bristol, Bristol Housing Festival, ZEDpods and Bristol and Bath Regional Capital. You can read more about the development on our project page.
