Allan McLeod, Operations and Stakeholder Engagement Manager UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Coordinator
Allan is a University of Bristol fellow and supports the adoption of the SDGs in Bristol City Council and across the city through his role in the City Office. He supports the Environment and Homes board from a City Office perspective and helped write the previous three One City Plans. His work focuses on driving systems change, cross-sector working and how global and national agendas can be adopted and delivered at local levels. In his previous role working with the Cabot Institute for the Environment, he produced the UK’s first Voluntary Local Review (VLR) of progress towards the SDGs as well as a handbook to assist other cities in undertaking the same report and multiple academic papers on understanding the SDGs at a local level.

Steven Bland, Climate Change and Innovation Specialist, UN-Habitat
Steven is a sustainability professional that supports organisations to move to a low-carbon and sustainable development pathway, via research, project and change management, facilitation, communications, and strategic advisory services.
He currently delivers projects and programmes at the interface of urban climate change and innovation, including the Climate Smart Cities Challenge with Bristol.
When he’s not pounding the keyboard, he’s enjoying his wonderful 14 month year old son, while trying to maintain his other great love: running on the mountain trails of Cape Town.

Jessie Wilde, Deputy Project Director, Bristol Housing Festival
Jessie is jointly responsible for the development and delivery of the festival. Her previous roles included working for a leading anti-slavery organisation, developing key stakeholder relationships and supporting organisational growth. Jessie is passionate about social justice and equality. Her work is motivated by her conviction of the value and dignity of every person. She is currently undertaking a MSt in Social Innovation at the Cambridge Judge Business School.

Mark Pendry, Head of Sustainability for Legal and General Modular Homes (LGMH)
Mark’s role involves embedding sustainability into all aspects of LGMH’s work from the planning and design of new communities through to the manufacturing and installation of homes on site. In his role he gets involved in a broad range of activities ranging from carbon reduction through to community engagement. Mark was previously a Director at Gleeds where he focused on providing consultancy advice on the sustainability and environmental performance of buildings.

Cllr. Tom Renhard, Cabinet Member (Housing Delivery & Homes) at Bristol City Council
Tom Renhard is a Labour and Co-operative councillor and the cabinet member with responsibility for housing delivery and homes in Bristol City Council.
Tom’s background is as a housing campaigner and has been a member of ACORN since 2014, campaigning for better housing conditions for tenants. This has included being involved in high profile campaigns to bring in the eviction ban at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, alongside an award winning campaign that as part of the End Unfair Evictions Coalition secured a government commitment to bring an end to s21 no-fault evictions in the private rented sector.
Tom is also a mental health campaigner, having setup the charity Independent Mental Health Network, which empowers people with lived experience of mental health problems to influence mental health support across the Bristol and Greater Manchester areas. Tom has also been a Time to Change champion, working to bring about an end to mental health stigma and discrimination.
