The role of modular homes in addressing homelessness: Cambridge’s modular homes

Modular homes have recently become a type of temporary accommodation provided for people experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping in the UK, but there is limited evidence about the effectiveness of these models, the barriers and facilitators to set them up and operate them, and the experiences of people housed in them.

The aim of this research is to provide local and national policy makers and modular home service providers with an evidence base about the impact and outcomes of using modular homes to temporarily house people experiencing rough sleeping by studying the four frontrunner schemes in Cambridge managed by Jimmy’s Cambridge.
