Cllr Helen Goodwin - Cabinet Member for Women, Families and Homes (Lead Member For Children’s Services), Bristol City Council
Helen was elected ward councillor for Southmead in May 2016. In March 2017 she was appointed by Mayor Marvin Rees as the country’s first Cabinet Member solely dedicated to Women, Children and Young People services for the city. Prior to being elected, Helen had twenty years’ experience working in recruitment, working with professionals across the legal, finance and professional services industries. Helen remains active in her ward as trustee of Southmead Development Trust and The Southmead Project and is a Governor at Fonthill School, Southmead.
