Suriya Edwards, Managing Associate, Foot Anstey
Suriya is a construction lawyer and our net zero construction lead. Suriya’s core technical specialism is to advice on a range of non-contentious construction matters. Her experience covers energy (including advising on solar power plants and battery storage facilities), development and infrastructure projects. Her broad experience means Suriya considers cross-sector synergies as critical to future-proofing contracts and in facilitating contract/commercial solutions.

Alan Tate, Partner, Michelmores, Construction & Engineering Department
Alan is recognised as one of the South West's leading construction solicitors and focuses predominately on the transactional side advising a wide range of clients within the construction and infrastructure sectors. Alan has been in the construction sector all of his career starting as an apprentice and then working for national developers and contractors as a quantity surveyor before re-qualifying as a solicitor. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB) and a member of the Society of Construction Law. Alan led on Constructing Excellence South West's (CESW) publication on Off-Site and has advised a number of clients on off-site projects in the South West in respect of both housing (including Hope Rise) and schools.

Josh van den Dries, Project Associate, The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP)
Josh is a Project Associate with The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP) - a non-profit, collaborative effort of international professionals whose vision is a world where every contract enables solutions to climate change. Josh co-leads TCLP's Built Environment project, supporting the sector’s transition to net zero by working with leading organisations to develop and promote adoption of TCLP clauses at scale. Josh previously qualified as a commercial solicitor in London.

Rehan Khodabuccus, Operations Director, ZED PODS
Rehan is the Operations Director at ZED PODs Ltd since 2018, with 15 years construction and 5 years extensive project management experience including demanding and technically difficult programmes, projects, managing product development, QMS and with NHBC Accepts, BOPAS, Considerate Constructors, CHAS, SSTS and more. Rehan has delivered success multi award winning zero carbon housing schemes, Including featured developments at the COP26. Rehan also manages numerous frameworks, bids and tenders and a core construction team of 12 people. Rehan has transformed the business into a multi-million pound government framework approved business delivering net zero carbon housing schemes.

Seya Tansill, Offsite Construction Innovation Lead, BRE
Taking a lead on MMC (Modern Method of Construction) for BRE, world leaders in built environment research. Seya manages MMC product development, understanding the landscape of the external and internal markets to respond with science-led solutions to support the mainstream adoption of Offsite. Seya’s scope spans the full service offer of BRE from assurance testing to digitisation. In her previous role, Seya was head of design for manufacture for a national architectural practice, leading contractor relationship for the Department for Education MMC1 framework key accounts, developing Offsite systems towards a net zero carbon brief. Her core focus centred around knowledge share, developing Offsite design tools and upskilling towards a manufacturing mindset.
