During our two week Showcase, we hosted and promoted a series of events which addressed several different topics around housing and innovation. We partnered with a variety of organisations to make these possible and enjoyed hearing from a range of speakers who were experts in their field.

Innovation in Housing for Older People

A presentation of research on co-housing, community housing and intergenerational living followed by a discussion panel comprised of experts from UoB, UWE, Housing LIN and Bristol Housing Festival. Chaired by Carol Watson, Head of Adult Care Commissioning, Bristol City Council, the panelists include:

  • Professor Karen West, Chair in Gerontology University of Bristol;  

  • Sheila Mackintosh, Research Fellow, Centre for Public Health and Wellbeing, UWE, Bristol;

  • Jessie Wilde, Deputy Project Director, Bristol Housing Festival;

  • Jeremy Porteus, Director, Housing LIN.
