Hope Rise, St George
This environmental and socially focused development is delivering much needed council housing in St George for young people in need of affordable housing and those at risk of housing crisis. By creating a new community in partnership with the YMCA, the development is designed to ensure that the support networks are in place for the tenants and tenant interaction and neighbourliness are increased.
This fantastic scheme offers something truly innovative, a first for the city and of its kind in the UK. This innovative development rethinks existing land use in central Bristol using ZEDpod homes, demonstrating new thinking to help solve the housing crisis, whilst at the same time providing beautiful, low carbon housing.
With this project being such a unique one and a ‘first’ in the UK, we want to learn from those who took part so we’ve brought them together. Join the ‘In Conversation with the ‘Hope Rise’ team webinar here
In this report, we interview the project teams who delivered the development. We share their stories, highlight outcomes, and outline the evidence-based lessons learnt.
